Extraordinary JavaScript Developer/Architect
LimeBits is looking for someone who is or can become
one of the
world`s leading
JavaScript software developers. If you
are a "developer`s developer," with outstanding
software design and JavaScript programming chops,
are interested in expanding free/libre/open-source software
(FLOSS) and content creation to a wider community, and
believe in the future of the social, read-write Web

As a key member and leader in the LimeBits team, you`ll help
develop the future of software. Your powerful JavaScript libraries and
applications will lead ordinary users to new heights of creation, and
help them discover talents they never knew they could express. You
have a blue-sky opportunity to lead us in
creating well-organized, easy-to-use software tools, APIs, and
libraries that open the LimeBits platform to software developers,
building application software that demonstrates LimeBits
capabilities,
developing new ways to deliver web software services,
expanding a community of open-source software developers,
facilitating content creation by individuals and groups.
Qualifications & experience
Expert programming experience using advanced JavaScript.
Experience designing and creating software libraries, APIs, and
tools.
Experience developing software with JavaScript frameworks such
as jQuery.
Knowledge of JavaScript scope, closure, AJAX, XMLHttpRequest,
XML.
Understanding of browser DOM and cross-browser issues.
Interest in developing innovative, ground-breaking software.
Interest in free/libre/open-source software and content
sharing.
Self-motivated, critical thinker with strong technical
background.
Curiosity, imagination, intuition. Excellent communication and
teamwork skills.
Bachelor`s, Master`s, or Doctorate in Computer Science,
Software Engineering, or related field.
Bonus: Knowledge of WebDAV, functional programming, server-side
JavaScript, user experience design.
Project
LimeBits is building an innovative, JavaScript-centric software
platform, using web standards and open-source technologies. It is
intended to empower people to share websites: create, find, copy,
improve, and host sites and applications, and share back to the open-
source community.
Company
LimeBits is a startup project at Lime Labs, a web innovation
company associated with LimeWire, the world`s most popular peer-to-
peer file-sharing program. The Lime companies offer a dynamic and
intellectually stimulating environment. While we work hard, we also
