Summary of Work to be Performed:



The Help Desk analyst will be performing Help Desk Services, including a number of duties throughout any given day. The Help Desk analyst will be part of a team of approximately 8-10 individuals that in the aggregate will service approximately 1,500 calls per month, with each analyst answering anywhere from approximately 15-35 calls per day. The analysts will need to determine whether he/she can resolve the problem or escalate a problem to the appropriate group. In addition, the Help Desk analyst is responsible for creating all new network accounts and e-mail accounts within five (5) business days and application accounts within eight (8) business days. The Help Desk analyst will receive and respond to e-mails from users that need assistance and will handle e-mail inquiries and problems in the same manner as phone calls. All work is tracked through a call tracking system . The Help Desk analyst is also responsible for creating documentation that is stored in a database for all analysts to reference for troubleshooting.



The Help Desk Analyst must have advanced knowledge of Windows XP, Active Directory, SAP account administration. Remote access (via SMS), Norton Anti-Virus and Office 2003 and 2007 applications, including, without limitation, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, are necessary as well as being able to troubleshoot technical issues. Knowledge regarding shared directories and permissions and global applications are also needed. Strong customer service skills, superior telephone skills as well as strong written and verbal skills are necessary for this position. Person must have knowledge on how to use and administer a problem tracking software.



Must also have working knowledge of:

• Citrix

• Active Directory

• Network Security

• Cisco VPN

• Broadband router configuration

• Wireless networking

• Network printing

• PDAs (Blackberry, iPhone, etc.)

• Document scanning/imaging

• Cisco VOIP

• Laptop setup for remote users

• SAP account administration



Secondary skills include operational skills such as TSM and Network Monitoring and the knowledge of an emergency notification system.
