Position Overview
o Assist in overseeing the operations, maintenance, and procedures of the organization`s financial IT systems. Work with the research, operations and finance departments to meet business requirements while looking to enhance current practices. Purchase and implement new software and hardware and train employees. Ensure that consistent practices are used throughout the company to maintain the integrity of the firm`s IT infrastructure.

Essential Job Functions
o Main responsibilities to include development of business research, trading and operations information systems; provision of general financial systems support; implementation of key business projects and research tools; suggestion of business improvements; ad hoc project work and analysis as required.
o Provide financial and analytical systems support and creation to the General Partners.
o Work with each division to test and reconcile current systems in efforts to create new and more efficient business tools for research, finance/trading, operations. Ensure that each department has the necessary machines and systems/applications access to for best practice procedures.
o Partner with the CFO to:
manage financial reporting tools and automated budget procedures
enhance systems for monthly financial reporting/communications
create automated month-end close process
create automated end of day trade reconciliation process
o Be able to develop budget for each department and plan for new equipment purchases.
o Provide assistance on technical matters for firm at large & act as a significant information resource for all research and financial systems.
Job Requirements:
o Must have general management ability as well as specific knowledge of the firm`s computer systems.
o Must have a thorough working knowledge of programming and systems analysis.
o Familiar with a variety of hedge fund / financial concepts, practices, and procedures.
o Must keep up with new developments in computers.
o Requires a bachelor`s degree in area of specialty with at least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
o Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
o Be a proactive and self-motivated individual.
o Challenge processes and identify areas of improvement.
o Possess strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
o Be open to working various hours when necessary to complete all aspects of job.
o Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
o Ability to learn and understand quickly in a fast paced environment.
o Detail oriented.
o Ability to work equally well in a team environment and independently.
o Motivated to self-teach skills and apply learned knowledge to applicable tasks.
o Capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines.
