Research Specialist or Postdoctoral Fellow Position in Cancer/Brain Tumor Biology
A full-time position on molecular mechanisms in brain tumor research is available immediately at the research specialist or postdoctoral fellow level for an individual with high-level expertise.
Candidates will join a highly dynamic collaborative team of researchers to study the molecular mechanisms leading to brain tumor formation and growth using tumor model systems in vitro and in vivo.
Candidates must have at least a bachelor`s degree and no less than 4 years experience in laboratory-based biological research. Ability to work with minimal guidance is expected and essential. Candidates must be able to develop and learn new techniques as required for these studies. Individuals with experience in one or more of the following sets of qualifications are invited to apply:
1. Experience in cell biology including mammalian and brain tumor stem cell culture, lentiviral preparation and transduction, siRNA design and delivery, molecular biology, quantitative mRNA and protein analysis, signal transduction, mouse models, immunofluorescence and confocal microscopy.
and/or:
2. Experience in mouse brain tumor models including monitoring, medications, anesthesia, perfusion, euthanasia, and harvesting and analysis of tissues.
