Content Management Specialist — LimeWire Store
Lime Wire LLC seeks an exceptional candidate for a position as Content Management Specialist on the LimeWire Store team. In this position, you will work closely with Lime Wire’s Partner Relations and Engineering teams to manage the flow of content from music labels and digital aggregators, in order to ensure the availability of licensed provider content within the LimeWire Store. This position will report directly to the Director of Software Quality Assurance. The LimeWire Store sells high-quality DRM-free mp3s, licensed from a wide variety of cutting-edge independent record labels. We offer our users the option of purchasing these tracks a la carte as singles or albums, or by monthly subscription.
Responsibilities
• Manage relationships with LimeWire Store’s content providers
• Manage content scheduling of new releases and catalog from existing providers, as well as newly signed partners, on an ongoing basis
• Daily review, correction, & manipulation of product metadata; preparing/digitizing media for ingestion; maintaining available catalog in accordance with provider specifications
• Troubleshoot internal and customer-side production/data/delivery issues that affect delivery and consumer availability of provider content
• Work with providers to fix missing production assets and metadata, identify and remedy production and delivery failures within the Store and provider ops/production teams
• Work with content providers and Store development team to remedy lost/corrupt/noncompliant content deliveries
• Work with music managers to produce store promotional materials and ensure that new releases are available in-store on their street-release date
• Collaborate with developers and QA team to streamline content ingestion automation; testing improvements to the ingestion backend
• Help design LimeWire Store’s content quality specifications. Execute any additional content checks above the aforementioned tasks to ensure that we meet such criteria.
• Report and triage issues pertaining to content delivery/release and quality using internal toolsets
• Design and maintain feedback mechanisms to report on the status of content delivery and release as well as on established quality metrics of such content
• Help establish and streamline policies and procedures for the Store team’s content management and quality-assurance functions
Qualifications
• Proficiency with unix bash shell commands. Basic bash shell scripting knowledge ideal. Working knowledge of sftp, grep, sed, or awk is a plus.
• Familiarity with SQL, SML, HTML, content management systems
• Great writing and communications skills
• Basic project management skills
• Must work well under deadline pressure; must be detail-oriented, solution (not problem) oriented
• Must be well-organized and able to communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary audience
• Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with providers/clients in a rapidly changing marketplace
• Must love music
• Ideal candidate has at least 6-12 months experience in the digital (or physical) content production/distribution arena, preferably with a music label or a digital music retailer
