The Mac Support Store works with home users and businesses providing IT services and support for the Macintosh. This includes onsite support, installations, and some PC services.
We are currently reviewing resumes from applicants for onsite services with the following skills:
Mac OS: OS X administration and management for workstations. Applicant must be current with the many software updates available to Mac users on a daily basis. A knowledge of Mac OS history is a plus.
Software: accurately troubleshoot all major applications in the most time-efficient manner. Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office, are among the most common. Must be able to administer email server software, setup DNS services, and troubleshoot OSX Server issues.
Hardware: must have prior experience diagnosing and repairing Apple branded hardware, installing RAM and a HD.
Network/Servers: strong working knowledge of OS X Server is required. Troubleshooting network hardware, such as switches and hubs required. Configuring routers are a plus.
Cross-Platform: you must understand how a Mac communicates with a Windows PC workstation or server on a network, and for file sharing.
Prior Apple certifications are required; however, there are some self-taught techs that we will fully sponsor for full Apple technician certification status. Three months of onsite work is required to qualify for certification sponsorship.
