An interesting position has arisen which is a Combination of payroll and purchase ledger. My client seeks candidates with at least 2 years experience.
Payroll duties include:
Payroll for 150 employees - ie preparing monthly wages
Liaising with the outsourced payroll provider
Dealing with NI & Tax queries, expenses, payroll journals
Analysing staff costs eg overtime*bonus payments
Ensuring Year end documents eg P11d, P60`s are complete
All administration regarding Pensions & pension contributions.
Purchase Ledger duties include:
Responsibility for over 500 purchase invoices per month
Enter Purchase Invoices onto in-house system
Processing manual check runs.*bacs payments
Ensuring VAT element is correct
Reconciling Month end ledgers
Processing multi currency payments
Ideally you will have in-house payroll experience e.g. Sage, Pegasus etc and be able to implement an in-house payroll package. You will be a 2nd - 3rd jobber looking to progress within an accounting arena. There is scope for progression within the company. This is a new position within a team of 9 and you will be reporting to the Chief Accountant.
