Fortune 50 telecommunications company is searching for a senior Active Directory/Wintel Server Engineer to perform design and implementation for their professional services group.
• 4+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting Active Directory Server Infrastructure software (Windows 2008 Sever) and related systems
• Experience in upgrade, migration and merging of legacy A/D systems to WIN 2008 environment
• Experience merging diverse Active Directory domains
• Establishing shares and understanding DFS services and experience administrating Microsoft based file systems and permissions structures.
• Experience with DNS/WINS and Windows Certificate Services
• 7+ years working with Microsoft server and server related products in large scale, mission critical, highly available, enterprise environments.
• 3+ years experience with administrating recent versions of Windows Server (W2K3/W2k8) and supporting components.
• Experience with implementing and administrating recent versions of Windows Cluster services
• Tier 1 server hardware experience (Compaq, Dell, IBM)
• Microsoft Certification (MCP, MCSE) preferred
• Script and/or coding experience, preferably VB or VBA.
• Possesses comprehensive technical knowledge and organizational skills to oversee, coordinate, and participate in highly complex projects with high visibility and high impact on the business.
• Ability to prepare technical reports, client presentations, design documentation, and manuals.
This is a contract position. The majority of the work will be in the NYC area, but some travel to client sites will be required. All expenses will be reimbursed.
Candidates may be required to submit to a background check and drug test. Green Card or US Citizenship is required for this position.
