We are an up-and-coming software vendor preparing to roll out our flagship fixed-income system at a top-10 investment bank. We are seeking a part-time systems associate to assist with operations testing on the trading floor. This is a perfect opportunity for a Computer Science graduate student or advanced undergraduate to get real-world finance experience before graduation.
The job will run approximately 14 weeks – 2 weeks for training, beginning in early January 2010 and 12 weeks for production. Training will be done during regular business hours. Production is 3 hours per day from 5am to 8am for this 12 week period. Professional experience managing Windows and Linux systems a big plus, but not required. We are looking above all for a promising long-term candidate for the potential of a full-time job offer this coming spring.
