Research Associate - Counselor
The New York Blood Center is one of the nation’s largest community based independent research, blood and clinical services organizations. NY Blood Center`s Project ACHIEVE conducts HIV prevention research studies, including HIV vaccine trials and behavioral interventions with women and men. We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join us in the LFK Research Institute located in Manhattan.
In this role, you will conduct HIV counseling, phlebotomy and HIV vaccine trial education for research protocols as well as determine if participants are ready to be tested for HIV, conduct vaccine education, prescreen and enroll volunteers in studies.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work or related field. NY State certification in HIV counseling is required, along with two years of experience in HIV counseling and research projects. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
