The Manager of Client Services will be a talented professional who uses judgment and discretion to solve technical business problems. The incumbent works with and manages the success-driven Client Services team to quickly resolve the technical issues of the staff. they will be responsible for providing technical support to end users, installing and maintaining computer hardware and software, network and remote connectivity in a mixed PC/MAC environment
Position Responsibilities:
Use judgment and discretion to solve technical business problems
Manages the success-driven Client Services team to quickly resolve the technical issues within the Aeropostale environment
Responsible for managing the technical analysts who provide support to end-users for software applications, desktop systems, notebook systems, printers, and telephony
Provide work directions, mentors staff, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work
Monitor and implement process improvement
Manage the inventory of desktop and laptop PCs as well as the software inventory and problem log
Schedule and manage the deployment of PCs for new hires
Assist with communicating scheduled and unscheduled outages
Provide weekly IT Help Desk status reports
Communicate regularly within IT and business to update project status
Assist Network Team in the following
Create and maintain local user accounts
Troubleshooting and maintenance of local servers
Perform nightly backups of servers while administering a scheduled rotation of tapes both on and off-site
Maintain an event log (or database) which can generate statistics listing; nightly status of backups, addition of users, deletion of users, departments, problem logs (through call tracking system), usage statistics, etc.
Adhere to and enforce corporate network usage standards plus policies regarding the use of non-standard or illegal software
Administer virus protection, desktop security as defined by Active Directory Group Policy and LAN analysis/management utilities for all local and remote servers and desktops
Remain current on developments in desktop and network hardware/software offerings
Create and maintain local network printing services
Perform functions related to maintaining and improving IT infrastructure
Ability to travel between New York City, Wayne, NJ, and South River, NJ facilities on a regular basis
Position Requirements:
Bachelor`s degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent work experience is required
Minimum of 5 years of IT experience supporting and troubleshooting PCs. operating system software, and LAN connectivity
Minimum of 3 years experience managing IT support staff in multiple locations
Windows XP, MAC experience
Thorough knowledge of Desktop Hardware, knowledge of Help Desk management software
Microsoft Office Products
Project management experience
Working knowledge of network protocols and topology
Excellent relationship building (people) skills and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Excellent organizational skills, documenting and defining policies and procedures
Ability to take technical direction and ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to track and trend problems and identify process improvement opportunities through demonstrated problem-solving skills
