Geotechnical Engineer
South East; Kent
Rapidly growing major consultancy has a vacancy for a Geotechnical Engineer. To write and approve factual geotechnical reports prepared by others and to undertake interpretative analysis and reporting of foundation proposals for all types of build. To project manage small to medium size jobs and provide guidance to graduate staff. To have sufficient commercial awareness to assist in regular bid preparation. The candidate will need to have a broad appreciation of geoenvironmental matters.Project manager role with financial and delivery responsibility.Technical responsibility for factual reporting.Review of work by junior team members.Preparation of interpretative reports up to review and approval by others.
Design and scope ground investigations.5yrs experience, ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.Be flexible and willing to work with a broad environmental group as appropriate.Must be a team player and highly motivated.Strong H&S appreciation and understanding.Ability to understand client requirements and needs and to advise accordingly.
Track record in the SI industry ideally with a contractor.BSc, MSc and appropriate membership of professional organisation.Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to present findings to clients.
