DSP Team Leader - £40000 Near Slough, Berkshire
DSP Team Leader is sought for our client who is a multi-faceted high-technology company that designs, develops, manufactures and markets a diverse range of microelectronic and test and measurement products. The products are in worldwide use, supporting communication systems, networks and automatic test systems.
The successful candidate will be required to lead a team of DSP engineers developing the Physical Layer (Layer 1) for our test products. Using the latest tools and techniques, working in a team of bright, like-minded individuals, you will co-ordinate and be involved in the analysis, design, and implementation of new functionality to meet the demanding requirements of current and emerging mobile telecommunication systems.
The exceptional candidate will be able to demonstrate qualifications, knowledge and experience of the following; Electrical * Electronic engineering Degree essential, with a PhD in a signal processing field being highly desirable; Application of Digital Signal Processing in an engineering field essential, with experience in the telecommunications industry being highly desirable; C * C++ programming languages; Software development for real-time, embedded DSP systems, ideally multi-processor; Software development for PCs; Configuration management tools, e.g. ClearCase; Physical Layer of mobile telecommunication standards like GSM, UMTS, cdma2000, WiMAX; PLD implementation of signal processing functions; Modulation schemes like GMSK, QPSK, QAM; Access schemes like CDMA, TDMA and OFDMA; Signal measurement techniques (e.g. EVM, spectrum analysis, code-domain analysis); Matlab, Mathcad or similar for analysis of systems, algorithm development and prototyping.
