Project Manager Roles and Responsibilities

- Liaise closely with the Client throughout the duration of the contract.
- Chair coordination meetings with clients*subcontractors with regard to programme quality, coordination between various trades.
- Commercially aware as to the contract and subcontractors works package, take opportunities for financial and programme gains.
- Prepare main site meetings reports and chair*prepare minutes.
- Compile programme updates with the Operations Director*Manager for progress meetings.
- Check drawings ensuring latest issue are being incorporated into the works.
- Set weekly co-ordination meetings with subcontractors, minute and action accordingly.
- Prepare and track programmes for all aspects of the contract.
- Review Health & Safety of contract with site team.
- Attend pre start meetings for contract and sub contract.
- Review and have an understanding of method statements and risk assessments.
. Liaise with other members of the site team at all times ensuring communication of information.
- Authorise site instructions with Commercial Department for additional works.
- Comply with the company quality and Health & Safety plans at all times.
- Be proactive, lead and assist other members of the team when necessary.
- Portray the correct image of the company at all times.
- Be responsive to the Client and understand their requirements.
- Make decisions under pressure to deliver the contract on time and budget constraints.
- Review and distribute the information received on a daily basis.
- Ensure the site team performs and carried out correct role.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years experience at Project Manager level (with evidence).
- HNC*HND Building qualifications.
- CSCS registered.
- First aid qualified.

SKILLS
- Experience with regard responding to a clients requirements.
- Produce construction programme from tender stage.
- Good computer skills in project planning (team plan or similar) word, excel etc.

EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 10 years management role in building*retail environment or similar.
- Total management of contracts to the value of £8 million.
- Management of fast track projects.
