To be responsible for facilitating supervised contact for children between the ages of 0-16 who are looked after by the Local Authority.
This role aims to develop the opportunities for children who live away from their parents – normally because of a court order – to have contact with their family. The Contact Worker will take a lead role in ensuring that the rooms used for contact have appropriate play opportunities, are welcoming and safe for the contact sessions.
The Contact Worker will take a lead in discussing and completing the paper work for the contact session with the relevant people e.g. social workers, parents and children. You will also need to ensure the room booking administration is completed and project statistics are updated.
The Contact Worker will take a lead role in ensuring that the tidying up process is an integral part of the contact session All applicants MUST be eligible to work in the UK and have an Enhanced Disclosure from the CRB dated within the last 12 months.
