Our client based on the Cambridge Science Park is seeking an experienced Training Manager to support the identification, development and delivery of training opportunities throughout the organisation.
their HR department is responsible for the recruitment, training, career development and welfare of all staff. The team consists of the HR Manager, HR Officer, and HR Administrator. The position of Training Officer is a newly created role.
In this role you will be responsible for: * To produce an annual training plan and forecast costs * To ensure an effective induction programme is maintained and delivered * To formalise a mentoring scheme for all new recruits * To assess relevant training needs for individuals both via the appraisal process and in consultation with Group Leaders and Business Unit Managers * To organise and run various training courses in-house, using both internal and external training providers * To identify relevant external training courses * To develop new training programmes as required * To maintain a comprehensive training library * To maintain administrative systems including training records and specific course administration. Minimum Requirements for this role: * Previous experience of developing and delivering training programmes * Good IT skills : word, excel, powerpoint and database work * Excellent communication skills * Ability to work as part of a small team and be self-motivated * Ability to prioritise own workload
