Copyeditor with HTML - up to £25k + bonus & benefits - Oxfordshire
An experienced and meticulous copyeditor is needed to edit, write and maintain our client`s website content. You will be working with information architects, web designers, programmers and other copyeditors, and will provide advice relating to the presentation of site content coming from a number of internal sources. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, clarity and consistency of style and content across the website. Duties will include editing, writing and maintaining site content; rewriting and restructuring content; overseeing all stages of content flow, and assisting with accuracy checking; proofreading; researching, assessing and analysing content needs, and designing the appropriate layout.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level with two to five years` experience in editing, preparing and writing content for corporate websites. This will give you an understanding of how writing for the web differs from other media. You will have an excellent command of English with a concise writing style. You`ll have basic HTML skills and an eye for web page layout. An understanding of the concepts of SEM and SEO is a requirement. Additionally, you`ll have the ability to work independently, under pressure, prioritising tasks effectively in a very fast-paced environment.
