The successful applicant will have experience of development in back or middle office systems. The candidate must have worked with Oracle 8+ for at least 3 years. Development must have been based on UNIX or variants (e.g. Linux). The candidate will have at least 5 years C*C++ and as well as comparable Oracle ProC development experience, 3+ years PL*SQL under at least Oracle 8i (preferably under 9i+), Oracle Forms 6+. Experience in object oriented design and in any J2EE elements will be an advantage. Ideally the successful applicant will have experience in application design. The role requires an individual who is able to be accurate as well as work quickly and effectively, individually or in team and who is a self-starter demonstrating drive and initiative. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS - C*C++ - Pro*C (Oracle 8+) - PL*SQL (Oracle 8+) - Oracle Forms (6+) - Strong PL*SQL and SQL in Oracle 8i and 9i or higher. - UNIX*Linux including shell scripting - Good written and verbal communication skills - Strong emphasis and understanding of quality standards procedures.
