An Opportunity has arisen for a programmer*Analyst to join a well established global software company based in Frimley, Surrey. You will be responsible for the coding, testing, documentation and delivery of complex application programs and should have experience with mission critical systems and Warehouse Management application skills and knowledge is advantageous. You should be able to provide technical guidance to development staff, support specialists and consultants regarding complex product and application situations, and be able to resolve complex business application problems, by phone or through personal visit.
The ideal candidate will have a University degree in logistics, business or computer science, or equivalent experience. You should have at least two years programming, analysis or related technical experience as well as software development experience with database application systems. The specific skills required for this position are FORTE and Powerbuilder skills, this is desirable but cross-training may be available where the candidate demonstrates strong technical abilities in other technologies. Experience working with C, C++, and*or a 4GL is useful with knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 is an advantage. Candidates must be able to be security cleared.
