Company:Fieve Clinical Services, Inc., is a private clinical research center that has earned a reputation as on of the most experienced, reliable study centers in the US for conducting research trials of new compounds in Phase I-IV of their development. (Prozac is an example of a compound we worked on). FCS works with many of the major pharmaceutical companies (Eli Lilly, Pfizer, Bristol-Myers etc.) and helps these companies test and develop new drugs for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder (manic depression), post traumatic stress disorder, panic disorder, migraine headaches, hypertension as well as others.Internship Description:The main focus of the internship is to assist in screening and recruiting clinical trials patients (who call our clinic after seeing our ad in the newspaper or on TV) and/ or coming up with business development ideas for the research center, creating financial projections etc. The interns will participate in a clinical trials training program (which includes reading training manuals, parts of the DSM-IV manual, research protocols, entering and filing patient data and occasionally sitting in on patient interviews). Because of the small size of the clinic, interns will be exposed to the clinical side of the company (from the doctors and clinicians), the regulatory side (from the Manager of Clinical Operations) and the business side of the company (from the Managing Director).Requirements:We are looking for individuals who are interested in pharmaceutical research or medicine, pychiatry, public health, or business management/ development (under 12 employees), or sales. The intern must be a high energy, motivated individual who is available 2-5 days a week. He or she must have excellent communication skills (especially on the phone), excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. We are happy to give letters of credit or recommendation when requested. Benefits:Besides the internship compensation, there is a strong possibility of advancing to the position of Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator or to a position in Business Development/ Strategic Planning in the fall (20-40hrs/week). Many of our CRCs were formerly our interns and many went on to pursue, graduate degrees in medicine and business or jobs in pharmaceutical companies, CROs, hospitals or other Clinical Research Centers. Compensation: There will be a stipend of $1,000 for a 12 week internship, with a minimum of 20 hours a week—and an extra bonus for each patient recruited ($25-$75per patient depending on how many are recruited per week). Our client, a leading international company, is currently recruiting for a fluent speaker of English to work on a temporary assignment as an English speaking Market Researcher based in zone 5 (very easily commutable from Charing Cross, London Bridge or Waterloo).

The English speaking Market Researcher will be responsible for the following:

The role will involve making outbound calls in a B2B environment to establish consumer behaviour trends.
You will use scripts to conduct in-depth telephone interviews, to obtain key information from a variety of customers, using open-ended interviewing techniques to obtain reasons for choosing specific products or services.
This project is likely to last two weeks, and requires an urgent start.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate for the role will be fluent in English to business level, with previous experience in market research or B2B roles requiring client screening and information gathering.
Applicants must be reliable, hard-working and excellent communicators with a flair for dealing with people. Experience with CATI and Excel is desired.

Candidates should ideally be based in South East London to be able to commute easily.
